The Australian Experiential Learning Centre (AELC) designs and delivers programs like Business Icon, that build fantastic careers opportunities for students to bridge the gap between education and the workplace. We are providers of supported, customised and guaranteed Internships and have a wealth of awards recognising our contribution in this field.

Business Icon™ is a project of the Advantage Foundation, a not for profit organisation designed to foster a more entrepreneurial culture in Australia that promotes ethics, culture diversity, environment and good health in business and community. The program was developed to build a bridge from education to employment for students, educational institutions and employers. It is the responsibility of the Advantage Foundation to run the competition yearly and provide the resources necessary to run the competition successfully.
Founder – Tracey Hodgkins
Tracey Hodgkins, CEO of the foundation is the 2005 Telstra Western Australian Business Woman of the Year. Tracey is honoured with other prestigious awards including amongst others; Brownes Everywoman and the Year Award 2004 and Business and Higher Education Roundtable Entrepreneurial Educator of the Year 2003, Paul Harris Fellow for her contribution to Humanity, Finalist in the 2008 Veuve Cliquot Awards for Australia’s most inspirational woman.
Tracey established the Advantage Foundation to enable a more entrepreneurial culture in Australia in particular with our young people. Business Icon promotes this concept with a unique mixture of challenge, psychology and education.
